Any Further Questions

Race limits
There will be a limit on entries accepted of 800 for the marathon and 200 teams for the relay. No further entries will be accepted once the race entry limit has been reached, even if this is before the official closing date. Early entry is advised.
NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY

Refunds
We regret that once applications have been processed we cannot refund fees to runners who do not eventually take part. Like all events, entry fees are used to hire the venue equipment etc. Therefore, we do not issue any refunds after entry.

Ill or Injured
If you are ill or injured, then you should not run for your own safety. For insurance reasons you cannot give your number to someone else to run in your place. Swapping numbers may result in disqualification. If a runner cannot complete they should notify the entry secretary before the event, Tel: 0797 137 1100

Parking
Marshals will be on duty to show you where to park near the sports centre (Lea Manor Recreation Centre, Northwell Drive, Luton LU3 3TL). Drivers are advised that vehicles and their contents are left at the drivers risk and that the race organisers and other third parties will not be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever.

Public Transport

More information can be found on the Travel & Accommodation page.

Registration
Runners who already have their number do not need to register on the day. Relay teams will need to register their runners.

Chip Timing
Your timing chip will be available for collection on race day from the sports centre. Please have your race number ready to claim your chip. No chip - no time will be recorded. Timing is gun to finish chip time. After crossing the finish line please do not re-cross the line as this will interfere with the recording. Return chips to the Sports Centre.

Changing, Toilets, Baggage
There are changing, toilet and shower facilities for male and female runners at the Sports Centre. A baggage area is provided in the main sports hall but please do not leave any valuables. The race organisers will not take responsibility for any losses or damage incurred.

Refreshments
Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available at the Sports Centre.

Race Rules
The race is run under UKA rules of competition. We strongly advise you NOT to wear headsets during the race for the safety of yourself and others. There will be a strict 5 hour time limit on the event and no early starters.

Beds and Herts AAA County Championship
This year’s qualifying entrants are invited to complete in the Beds and Herts AAA County Championships. Entry to the Championships will be on the day in the Sports Centre.

The Start
The start will be at 10:00 in the area just outside of the Sports Centre.

The Course
Run on the left hand side of the road unless otherwise directed by the course marshals. Marshals have no power to stop or direct traffic therefore all runners are responsible for their own safety. The course is not suitable for wheelchair competitors.
